Their formation story:
(Rob Bohn, vocals): "We all play in other Youngstown bands with mostly the same members, so Sketchball is really the continuation of another band we had going for a while — we just decided to switch the name up and keep moving forward."
Their sound in their own words:
"Punk/hardcore style. Main influences are bands like Blitz, Warzone, Breakdown, Toxic Reasons, and Cro-Mags — basically ’80s hardcore mixed with Oi! and a little d-beat too."
Latest release info:
"Our newest release is called Dreams to Nightmares. It’s six songs total: three hardcore tracks and three punk songs. Lyrically, it’s about the sketchiness of everyday life and America's downfall. FFO: going wild and hating the government."
Future plans:
"We’re planning to play shows whenever we can and record another EP this summer. The goal is to eventually combine all the EPs onto one vinyl LP later this year.
"We all play in other active bands, so Sketchball happens whenever everyone’s schedules line up, which can get difficult with all the different projects we’re involved in."
