Band: Outlawed
From: San Diego, California
Their formation story:
(Patrick, guitar): "I started the band in 2022 with the singer, Auzzy. The day the band started, I was at the gym with my friend and former outlawed bassist, Zach. I was listening to Power Trip's 'Hornet's Nest' single and I got the inspiration to start my own crossover band."
Their sound in their own words:
"Power Trip was the first influence however over time we switched from crossover to hardcore. With influences like Death Threat, Denied, and Shattered Realm, we went way heavier for our newest release, DRAW."
Latest release info:
"All of our old music was taken down by us because it wasn't up to snuff with anybody else's music. We also wanted to lean harder into the cowboy aesthetic and I think we did a pretty good job at mixing the cowboy theme with the hardcore and beatdown style.
"The title track, 'Draw,' is the one crossover song on the EP. We all like metal as much as we like hardcore so we had to throw something that shows that in there."
Future plans:
"For the rest of the year, we have a handful of shows lined up. We're also gearing up for shooting a music video with our buddy Tanner of Vigilant Booking and Lacoste films.
"Were still planning 2026 out right now but we do want to plan a weekend run with Shot for Impact. They dropped their demo a few weeks ago."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"We want to give a huge thank you to: Hatespeech, Shot for Impact, Sufrimiento, Extort, Moab, False Witness, Holy Death, Greenwich, Hyper Vigilant, Zero Trace, Bergota, Call Me The Boxer, Killing Capacity, Dementicide, Left to Suffer Nooking (Nasio of Shot for Impact), Get Pieced, Say Less, Legions, Rob the Dead, Wound Up, Palace of Mourning, Vigilant Booking (Chris and Tanner), Torn Apart Media (Marco), Return Trip Records , Slow Death Records, and Dredd Presents."
