Band: Blind Eye
From: Helsinki, Finland
Their origin story:
(Tuukka, vocalist): "Drummer Arttu and guitarist Matti have been playing together for years and during COVID they were coming up with song ideas that didn’t seem to quite fit any of their existing bands, so the need to start something new arose.
"At the end of 2020, Arttu hit me up if i was interested in doing vocals. I had never really yelled in the mic before but shortly after that we had our first practice. Songs kept coming together with a steady pace and we only had to find a bassist. I asked Olli if he wanted to fill the bass duty and he was down for it."
Their sound in their own words:
"We’re mostly influenced by early '90s and early '00s straight-up groovy hardcore, mostly US East Coast stuff. We like to keep the songs short and to the point. Specific influences include Everybody Gets Hurt, Neglect, Bulldoze, Billy Club Sandwich, and One Second Thought, just to name a few."
Latest release info:
"Our new EP is basically a collection of all the songs we made after our demo. Music wise no major plans or vision behind them. Pretty compact representation of what we’re about."
Future plans:
"We write new stuff constantly and we're also playing shows. We might record some more new stuff later this year, so who knows.
"By the end of the month we play at Oranssi, in Helsinki. We should have our first pieces of merchandise there and few tapes of the new EP aswell, so if you're nearby, come pick something up and don't forget to hit the pit."
