Cold as Life formed all the way back in 1988, and throughout their discography, the Detroit hardcore band has written songs about the harsh realities of living in a crime-plagued city.
After a hiatus that began in 2011, Cold as Life is back with a new lineup and a 2-track EP that will arrive in stores this summer. "Suffer" comes of the forthcoming EP and it finds the group in fighting shape, delivering the raw hardcore they've always been known for. The song's lyrics concern someone who threw their life away after becoming hooked on heroin. Jesse Adkins' throat-scraping vocals are the perfect vessel for the bleak lyrics on "Suffer." It's great to have these Detroit bruisers back in action.
