Split releases are a time honored tradition in the mythos of hardcore. Faith / Void, Hatebreed / Integrity, Go It Alone / Blue Monday, Incendiary / Xibalba – the list goes on.

The tradition continues on June 14th with the release of a brand new 17-song split record entitled BODY // SOCKET between Ohio/Pennsylvania’s Body Farm and Portland, Oregon's Dry Socket. The lead singles, “Endless Psychosis” and “Abomination,” were premiered late last month.

Body Farm has had a busy year as well playing shows in the Midwest and West Coast, including a number of festival appearances such as Rustbelt Ripper Fest (Cleveland), 510 Grind Fest (Oakland), Midwest Diskrust Fest (St. Louis). Upcoming, the band is playing Laundrofest II in June (Cleveland/Columbus), the Blind Rage Weekend showcase in July (Dayton–featuring Negative Approach and Zero Boys). Body Farm’s record release show is on June 14 at Blind Rage Records HQ.

For your viewing pleasure, Body Farm has provided their second single from the split, "Sadistic Game," in music video format:

Dry Socket has had a kickass year so far releasing their first full length record, Sorry For Your Loss, with appearances all over the West Coast, including 206 Blast Fest in Seattle, 510 Grind Fest in Oakland, five dates in Mexico, and home field support slots for Gorilla Biscuits and Bleeding Through.

With so much more to go, the band will hit the Midwest in June, the west coast in July, and will be supporting Boston stalwarts The Hope Conspiracy on their Pacific Northwest dates in Portland, Seattle, and Tacoma. The band will be playing a record release show on June 21st at Commonwealth Skateshop in Portland.
