In my previous piece covering their 2018 Cursed the Will to Dream EP, I compared Life's Question's sound to both Leeway and Crown of Thornz. In other words, the Chicago outfit favor metallic riffing with plenty of groove and bite. Well, on their brand-new A Tale of Sudden Love and Unforgettable Heartbreak EP, Life's Question still carry that kind of vibe into their material, albeit with a bit more melody rushing throughout it.
Listen to the 3-track EP below and see what I'm talking about:
"The title of the EP really says it all. It's about people who come into your life and convince you they are worthy of all your love and loyalty. Then at the drop of hat all you were to them was a forgettable memory. You told me that you love me but you told a lie took my heart away and I ask you why?" —Life's Question
In addition to the new EP, Life's Question will be hitting the road along with Vatican and Typecaste (dates below), plus the This Is Hardcore aftershow next Sunday.
New Morality Zine will be releasing a very limited edition run of A Tale of Sudden Love and Unforgettable Heartbreak on cassette. The B-side of the cassette will include Life's Question's previous EP, Cursed the Will to Dream, and it can be pre-ordered here.
