Their formation story:
(Megan, vocals and Tony, bass): “Sky, Mikey, and I had been talking about starting a straight edge band. We added Megan to a group chat, knowing she’d been wanting to front a band, with a text from Sky saying, ‘Hi, you’re in a band now. Sorry or congratulations.’”
Their sound in their own words:
“We describe our sound as ’90s/early 2000s hardcore, like Snapcase, Strife, Strain, and Earth Crisis. It’s very bouncy and melodic, with introspective lyrics.”
Latest release info:
“We released a four-song demo on April 17 through UNITY! Records. These songs have been played since our first show in October 2025 and were tweaked up until recording with Dan Harvey in March.”
Future plans:
“We have a few shows booked in the near future. On April 25, we’re opening for No Guard and Basic Needs here in Omaha. Everybody’s Here! Fest is a new Omaha fest on May 9 that we’ll also be playing. Our demo release show is on June 5—more info will be announced soon on our Instagram, @sacredstraightedge. We’re also hoping to plan a weekender across the Midwest this summer.”
