Their formation story:
(Harry, drums): “Ethan (shout out No Relief) hooked Fenner and Matt up who already had a drummer sorted, Lily was Fenner’s housemate. Unfortunately it didn’t work out with the first drummer but my partner who is mates with Lil told her I’m a drummer into tech death and they snatched me up.”
Their sound in their own words:
(Matt, guitar): “Heavy hardcore/beatdown mostly inspired by '90s and early '00s New York beatdown with a UKHC twist done BN1 style. Like a One Second Thought, Denied, 100 Demons, Bulldoze, Everybody Gets Hurt-type vibe.”
Latest release info:
(Fen, vocals): “[Blood4Blood is] about being stabbed in the back, virtue signalling fakers, wannabes, riffs and making your mates hurt each other.
“Matt already had two demos ready to go when we formed with lyrics for 'Misery' and half of 'Blood4Blood' so 'No Loyalty' kinda just came naturally once we all got in a room together. I’m constantly writing lyrics, have a big mouth and a lot to say [laughs].”
Future plans:
(Lily, bass): “Matt's parting ways due to burn out and life getting in the way (news involving one of the BN1’s most loved moshers and promoters coming soon) but we will be exploring more '90s beatdown.
“Me and Harry are campaigning for Japanese beatdown and death metal influences to come. Fenner's listening to a lot of Bun Dem Out/LBU bands, Special Move and Splitknuckle, so expect a bit of evilness done with Outlive grooves.”
