Their formation story:
(Alex, vocals): "Inspired by the local hardcore shows happening throughout Germany’s Rhine/Ruhr area, we formed Hasted in late 2024. Three of us had already played together in a previous band that broke up about 15 years ago, and eventually it just felt like the right time to start something new.
"Once we completed the lineup with a fourth member, we spent most of 2025 writing songs before releasing our debut EP in early 2026."
Their sound in their own words:
"It’s honestly hard to describe. Our songs come together pretty organically rather than from some strict blueprint or formula. We don’t really sit down trying to sound like one specific thing.
"That said, a lot of our influence definitely comes from New York and Baltimore hardcore bands. We’re currently working on our second EP already, and it’s definitely going to sound different from the first release. We’re curious ourselves to see where things go."
Latest release info:
"Besides songwriting itself, we put a ton of work into recording the first EP because we handled everything completely DIY despite having basically no recording experience beforehand.
"Being hoarse became a normal state for me because I kept recording vocals over and over until we finally reached a quality level we felt comfortable releasing.
"We learned a lot through the process — especially how to handle conflicts while writing and recording together."
Future plans:
"We’re currently recording our second EP, which should be released sometime this summer or autumn. It’s definitely going to be much heavier than the first one. Stay tuned."
