Previously appearing on this site via my 12 Newer Hardcore Bands to Check Out in 2016 list, Mace is back with a 3-song Bandcamp teaser to their forthcoming LP on the Sludge Records label.
"Ankle Biter" is more of the straight-forward hardcore I came to love from the Chicago band from the moment I first heard them. Bee's vocals are as snotty and menacing as I remembered them. Riff wise, Chap brings both the fast and breakdown stuff, culminating in an ending part that is sure to be a dance floor-filler when Mace play out live. I can't wait to hear the rest of their album based on everything I've heard to date.
