"A high energy rock 'n’ roll band? A punk band? An Oi! band? A hardcore band? We pull from a lot of places and I think that’s what keeps us interested."
That's how No Time vocalist Adam Thomas replied when I asked him how to describe the band's sound back in 2023. A veteran of the Pittsburgh hardcore punk community, you might also know Adam from such bands as Concealed Blade, Blood Pressure, and Chronic Abuse.
At the time of our last conversation, No Time was promoting their second album, Suffer No Fool, which they also supported out on tour across North America, Japan, and Europe.
Today, I'm pleased to present a track called "Iron Breed" from No Time's forthcoming new EP, Comply or Die:
Adam emailed me the following thoughts about his lyrics to the new track:
"Iron Breed' is a song for stalwarts, diehards, and lifers. It's a song I wrote as a 40-year-old punk about all the challenges and complexities of growing older while simultaneously keeping firm roots in the subculture. As if I had a choice.”
