Norway’s Feral Nature have been steadily sharpening their claws, and 2026 is shaping up to be their true breakout year. First introduced to No Echo readers in 2024, the Oslo-based quartet sits at a violent crossroads of metal and hardcore punk, channeling suffocating atmosphere, blunt-force aggression, and a sense that everything could collapse at any moment.
Many first caught on through the band’s video single “Unleash,” but Feral Nature had already been simmering beneath the surface—including an early show with END (US) back in 2022. Their debut EP, Rituals, dropped in late 2024 and immediately set them apart, bolstered by guest spots from members of LLNN, Barren Womb, and Sâver. The response was decisive, with a sold-out hometown release show in Oslo, cementing their place as one of the most punishing new voices in the Scandinavian underground.
Momentum carried into 2025, with Feral Nature playing major festivals like Inferno, Desertfest, and Øyafestival, as well as regional runs across Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. They wrapped up the year with “Oath,” a single featuring guest vocals from Denmark’s KONVENT, further proving their ability to blur the lines between extreme metal and hardcore without diluting either side.
Now, the band returns with Cradle of Twigs & Bone—a follow-up EP that fuses their earliest instincts with their latest evolutions. As guitarist/vocalist Rob Hamilton explains, “Cradle of Twigs & Bone is a collection of our oldest and newest ideas. It’s a marriage of the truly disgusting and tragically beautiful things in our world.”

Feral Nature is comprised of vocalist Selma Bahner, bassist/vocalist William Morris (bass/vocals), drummer Mathias Myren, and guitarist/vocalist Rob Hamilton. The EP was engineered and mixed by Hamilton at Eureka Soundworks.
