Band: Natural Human Instinct
From: San Jose, California
Their formation story:
(Matthew Martinez, vocals): "We formed the band in 2022 but I've been playing music with Eric (our bass player) and Syed (our drummer) for about 8 and half years now. Chris, our original guitarist, was a close friend of ours through going to shows. When it was time to find a guitar player for the band, we immediately thought of him."
Their sound in their own words:
"I would say our band is pretty straight-forward hardcore. I usually don't like to cite bands for a FFO section as I find most of the time it's easier to just take the music for what it is. Our biggest influence is being surrounded by the many great bands and people we have in San Jose, California."
Latest release info:
"We just put out 2 new songs last month and titled the release Promo 2. We mainly wanted to release more music for our trip to the UK and Southeast Asia in September. I am very proud of both the new songs and I'm glad that I was able to write more lyrics. Doing vocals is the most fun I've had in a band and both songs are very personal to me."
Future plans:
"We have a 4-day tour in the UK next month right before we play 6 more shows in Southeast Asia. I am looking forward to playing those shows as it will be our first time ever stepping foot in a lot of these places. After that trip, we plan on playing some more shows back home and other areas as well as writing new music. Hopefully we can work on another EP for next year."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"There are too many bands to list out. I would say anything and everything from San Jose, California. RBS > THE WORLD."
