New Hardcore Band Spotlight: Inner Self

Band: Inner Self

From: San Antonio, Texas

Their sound in their own words:
"I would describe our sound as an homage to the heavier bands appearing out on the east coast in the mid-'90s. Our biggest influences are Next Step Up, Billy Club Sandwich, and Bulldoze."

Latest release info:
"Our newest release, Escape the Dome, is a complete redux/redoing of our original Demo ‘20. We wanted a fresh start for ourselves and we figured what better way than redoing the original demo but in our newer sound."

Future plans?
"We have a split release coming out with another local SATX band Joust in Early 2023. Other than that we are just trying to play new places and with new bands!! If y’all are reading this, hit us up."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Any and every band that is on Coreruption Records: Ozone, Strange Joy, Visions of Mortality. They are putting Texas on the map with all of the new and upcoming releases!

"As well as other South Texas bands: U.N.I.T., Future Shock, Life Cycles, Lowball, Joust, and Beyond Reach! Texas is definitely bringing some heat and there definitely deserves to be a spotlight shined on all of these bands."
