Band: Born Cold
From: Buffalo, New York
Their formation story:
"Born Cold began as a conversation in a parking lot at a Slayer show in 2019 and grew from two friends writing songs in an attic to a fully realized band. After pandemic delays, lineup shifts, and life detours, the strongest version of us yet has emerged. We’re all past members of a bunch of Buffalo bands including Some Kind of Hell, SKOT, and Thomas Harvey."
Their sound in their own words:
"It feels like a real solid blend of thrash and hardcore. We love Terror as much as we love Crytopsy. We each bring something unique to the table and we all fuel one another."
Latest release info:
"We had a pile of songs before taking a pause awhile back, regrouped and wrote a new batch of songs last Winter that really represented our sound, We recorded them in April at Watchmen Studios with Doug White."
Future plans:
"Continue working on new material, maybe throw in an old school punk cover in our own style for fun and then find a bass player and play some shows and get things moving."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"So many to list. We come from a really special place with so many good bands new and old. Frozen Ground (It Dies Today side project) absolutely crushes. Grizzly Run. The New Fury. Ghost Chant from upstate NY just put out a killer EP. Juggernaut."
