Their formation story:
(Ulises Arzate, guitar): "Bayonette formed in 2024 in Orange County, California. The band initially set out to play a more traditional old-school beatdown style before gradually evolving into its current sound. The lineup came together through a group of friends who had never previously played in a band together. After getting together to jam, the chemistry clicked, and Bayonette was born.
"One thing the band emphasizes is keeping friendships at the center of everything they do. For Bayonette, the bond between the members comes before the band itself."
Their sound in their own words:
"Definitely a hardcore/beatdown style of hardcore. I’m a very big fan of a very metallic beatdown style. Think heavy beatdown riffs with metallic, melodic runs and evil harmonies."
Latest release info
"Our latest release is the Divine Retribution EP, a record that allowed the band to experiment with new ideas while still maintaining the core elements of their sound.
"The EP incorporates guitar solos, guest appearances, and several other additions that helped expand Bayonette's musical approach without sacrificing the heaviness that defines the band. Guest features came from fellow Division 1 Records bands Foreshadow and Life Turned Cold.
"Recording duties were handled by Nate Delgallego (Hereditary, Enemy of Life) of Forever Ending Records, who helped make the process both enjoyable and efficient for the band."
Future plans:
Bayonette is already looking ahead to its next chapter. The band has a new release scheduled for the fall and plans to enter the studio soon to begin recording.
"Touring is also high on the priority list, with hopes of hitting the road in the near future."
