Band: 10 Blade
From: Alabama

Their formation story:
(Andrew, vocals): "About a year ago, I felt like I finally got to a good spot in my life to get a band going. I was settled into my career and had just gone through a divorce. It had been about 10 years since I’ve made music and I was itching to get back to it.

"I started writing on my own and jamming with friends and a few months in I linked up with PJ (guitar). We started slowly writing and went through a few member changes before we landed on the twins, Parker (bass) and Zac (drums)."

Their sound in their own words:
"We are heavy hardcore, though we do take a lot of influence from metalcore, thrash, and beatdown, but we want our sound to be more on the hardcore side. Some of our includes include Enemy Mind, Inclination, Backtrack, Mindforce, Kublai Khan, END, Left Behind, The Acacia Strain, CELL, Laid 2 Rest, and Orthodox."

Latest release info:
"I work in heart surgery and I’ve been in the medical field for about 8 years now. The band’s name is actually based on type of scalpel blade that we use in the operating room. 'Wrong Hands' is about how some medical professionals are either incompetent or just willfully malicious and patients end up paying the price for that."

Future plans:
"We’re in the studio recording the rest of our debut EP now and making sure everything sounds tight. We’ll be playing shows in Alabama and other states in the southeast starting at the end of summer / early fall."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Delta Hate, Cold Hard Steel, Commodity, Gutter, Faülen, Infiltrate (PJ’s other band), and of course, No Cure."
