When it comes to metallic hardcore, Ecostrike check off all the right boxes for me.
Harsh yet melodic vocals? Check!
Breakdown-y parts? Check!
Gang vocals? Check!
Chuggy guitars? Check!
With a new EP, Voice of Strength, arriving soon, Ecostrike have just dropped a track called "Standing Hard," and yes, all of the boxes are checked off again. There's a bit of a Dmize feel in some of the sections, and the sound of other '90s hardcore greats (Indecision, Buried Alive) is embedded in the Florida outfit's sonic DNA. Fuck, man, this is a great song and I can't wait to hear what the rest of the EP brings our way.
