With members spread out between Chicago and New Jersey, Hold My Own have spent the last five years delivering no-bullshit, NYHC-inspired jams. With four EPs and a split already under their belt, the band is gearing up for the release of their first full-length album set to hit stores later this year through DAZE.
Hold My Own features musicians who you might recognize from their work in other bands like The Mongoloids, Bulldoze, and Sector.
Today, the band just dropped “Countdown,” a track that will be appearing on Hold My Own's forthcoming debut LP. “This song is about feeling like you’ve failed but not caring and keeping it moving," says guitarist Anchit Chhabra. "Countdown" was engineered, recorded, and mixed by Andy Nelson (Missing Link, Bad Beat) at Bricktop Recording, with vocals engineered and recorded by Jayway at Bayway Studios:
In other Hold My Own-related action, the band will be on stage this weekend at LDB Fest in Louisville, Kentucky. In April, they’ll hit the road with Snuffed on Sight and Bayway for a run through Texas and the Midwest, followed by a May European tour alongside Outta Pocket. All of the dates are listed below
