Hellfest 2026 Relocates to Carteret Performing Arts Center, Festival Still Set for July 3

Hellfest 2026 has officially relocated to the Carteret Performing Arts Center in Carteret, New Jersey after organizers determined the fest could no longer move forward at either of its previously announced venues.

In an email issued today through the label's mailing list, Trustkill Records' Josh Grabelle explained that “the planning process for this installment of Hellfest has been in effect for upwards of 18 months,” but that “over the last several weeks, it has become increasingly clear that Hellfest would not be able to move forward in either of our previously announced venues.” They added that “circumstances outside of our control have made it apparent that operating this festival could not proceed as intended.”

Grabelle said they were ultimately left with “two choices: relocate or cancel,” adding, “Cancellation was never an option we were willing to accept.” The festival will now take place indoors at the Carteret Performing Arts Center beginning Friday, July 3.

The new venue brings a number of changes and upgrades, including air conditioning, a parking garage across the street, easier access to public transportation, and a location closer to Newark Airport. Grabelle also confirmed that the venue will allow re-entry and there will be no barricade. The downstairs bar and restaurant areas will host FIFA watch parties during the weekend, and on-site food options will include vegetarian and vegan offerings, along with water fountains throughout the venue.

“Most importantly, Hellfest 2026 is happening,” the statement reads. “We appreciate everyone's patience and support through these challenges, and we look forward to seeing all of you in Carteret on Friday, July 3rd.”
