The Reverse Cowboys: UK Punk Trio Rage Against the Mundane on New Track “FYC”

Take it from a friend of theirs (and a former bandmate of two of them), The Reverse Cowboys are a rowdy bunch. The Norfolk, UK-based trio play a riotous brand of punk with a bit of deep-fried southern rock sprinkled on top as exhibited on their artfully-titled previous singles “Raw
Doggin” (2023) and “White Girl Wasted” (2024).

The band have just released a brand new track “FYCl" the first of a couple they have coming soon and a tight 65-second banger that should hit the mark for fans of bands like Clobber and The Chisel at their snottiest:

It shouldn’t take the listener long to figure out what the “FYC” stands for either, although upon closer inspection the message is perhaps not quite as bratty as it initially appears.

Guitarist/vocalist Chris Jolly elaborates: “It’s about self-loathing and being in a shit position in your life where the only person that can change that is yourself but you just don’t. You just suffer from it for whatever fucking reason. I think anyone that’s experienced difficulties with drugs and alcohol and things like that will relate to it. It’s more of a 'fuck you cunt’ to yourself.”
