Comprised of musicians who have also played in such bands as Municipal Waste, Revocation, and Goes Cube, Publicist UK melds elements of post-punk, metal, and other sonic points between those worlds.
The quartet — vocalist Zachary Lipez (vocals), drummer Dave Witte, guitarist David Obuchowski, and bassist Brett Bamberger — released their debut album, Forgive Yourself, via Relapse Records a decade ago today (August 21st, 2015). Outside of a cover of Tori Amos' "Precious Things" for Decibel magazine's flexi series, we haven't heard any new music from Publicist UK.
No Echo is happy to report that the band will be releasing a new album soon through Obuchowski’s own label, Moth Hospital Records. Publicist UK just dropped a track called "Violence" which they say is the only song on the upcoming album "explicitly not about grief and/or incipient fascism, and thus is maybe not representative of the entire work."
