Big Problem: Manchester Post-Hardcore Trio Release New Live Video for Setlist Staple

As mentioned when I chatted to them about their wonderful latest EP Grudge just a couple of months back, Manchester post-hardcore trio Big Problem are a busy bunch.

They said at the time that they had a load of new material they were excited to share with us on top of the two EPs and single they’ve released in their first 18 months as a band, but to tide us over they’ve just released a brand-new live recording of a track from their 2024 debut, Morbid Pace.

This version of “Rowing” was recorded in May this year when the band opened for Scowl and Modern Colour at Rebellion in Manchester:

Drummer and backing vocalist John Hinde, who also mixed the track, talks us through it: “I have always tried to archive as many of the live shows we play, gathering the multitracks from each and mixing them. This is technically the second live release we have done but the first was tape only.

“Since we put out the EP in 2024 we have never taken the song out of our live set, further developing and refining the song. This version is a bridge between our first EP and our new songs that we aim to record soon! The live video is made up from footage of the show andelements from the original music video we put out in 2024 with the studio release.”
