Their formation story:
"We're basically forever homies. We've been making music together in one form or another over a couple of decades, with varying results."
Their sound in their own words:
"We've just been calling it hardcore. Hardcore is a large tent. There are so many things you can do, and it's just hardcore. We can do punk things and metal things—it's hardcore.
"To save some space, influences that work as a FFO would be Converge, Terror, Death Before Dishonor, Death Threat, and Justin Bieber."
Latest release info:
"We recently released a song called 'Faith in the Rope.' I think it's a great showcase of the sort of thing we can do. There are weird punk parts that sound pissed, it's driving, and then there's even a bit of death metal in there. It's chaotic and angry and funny and sad."
Future plans:
"We plan to keep writing. It's been very fun. We will keep demoing the stuff as we go; we're fortunate to have the ability to do that in-house. We have plans for a longer-format release in the near future. We want to do as much as we can ourselves—recording, merch stuff, art."

"We share members with Ledge OE and Heavy Girls, which are very different from what VN is doing, so check those out. New England is a big place with a lot of creativity and fervor in and around hardcore. Go check out Quick to Judge, Far Too Late, Before Your Eyes, Breakout From Oppression, Harry Your Hands Are Freezing, Riverbed, and Outnumbered.
"There are a lot of younger bands right now. Check them out and encourage them. Go to the bottom of the show fliers—that's where your next favorite band is."
