Their formation story:
(Tim, vocals): "I moved to Bristol and really wanted to started a hardcore band. I had floated the idea to a few friends but nothing really came to fruition. Then myself and Kyle (guitar) were at the annual Dean Lane Hardcore event—a local punk festival held in a skate park—where we discussed starting a band that was heavy and chunky.
"The issue is drummers are few and far between, but we were walking down the road with Isaac eating some vegan snacks when Kyle joked we could keep nagging Isaac until we wore him down. He heard us and just said, 'nah, I’m game,' and that’s how uncertainty was born.
"When it came to a bass play, I’ve been friends with Adam for years and I knew he wanted to get back into playing in a band, so it was an absolute no brained to ask him to join us. Right from our first practice everything just seemed to slot into place and we really hit the ground running."
Their sound in their own words:
"As cliché as it is, I would say we are a real mix of styles and sounds. Vocally, I’m draining influences from Never Ending Game, Merauder, and Point of Contact. But musically there are smatterings of a lot of different bands in what we do.
"When it comes to structure, I’m looking at bands like Incendiary, Backtrack, and Foundation. But our guitarist and drummer are pulling from bands like SPY and Scowl."
Latest release info:
"We wanted to get some rough music out in to the world as our main goal with this band is just to play some fun shows. So we thought out of the songs we’ve written so far we wanted to give a snapshot of what the band is about.
"'No Redemption Arc' is about the idea of how there is no accountability when people fuck up in the world. All too often we see people in power make huge decisions without thinking about how that’s going to impact “normal people” and then when they are called out for it then just run and hide and don’t take ownership of their mistakes.
"As for 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters,' all of us in the band are vegan. So I wanted to write a song which reflected this and the thought that no animal should be kept in a cage and even in this day and age animals are being needlessly slaughtered for farmer’s gain."
Future plans:
"Our immediate plans are just to play more shows around the UK. Eventually we will be looking to record and release our debut EP, and may have a couple of weekender runs in the pipeline."
