Their formation story:
(Nic, vocals): “Lane and I were in another band called Purity Among Thieves. Joseph came in right at the end of that band and that’s where Still Here came from.”
Their sound in their own words:
“I’d say we’re a metalcore band with hardcore influences. People that like us may like bands like Boundaries, Gideon, Orthodox, and Guilt Trip.”
Latest release info:
“Right before the release of Scars Like Chains, we had the idea to bring on another guitar player; When Jake came on it felt like everything kinda clicked. I would send references to Jake and we’d bounce some ideas back and forth and get the bones of the songs that way.
"Lyrically, the EP deals with the feeling of a panic attack, suicidal ideation, and then the occasional ass beating lyrics hahaha.”
Future plans:
(Jake, guitar): “Currently, we’ve begun writing new instrumentals for our next project and figuring out an overall vibe / how to build off the sound of Scars. For shows, we’ll be opening for Terror in early October at The End in Nashville.
"After that, we have our performance at The Fest in Gainesville with a couple shows around that in Tuscumbia, Atlanta and Greenville with some truly awesome bands. We’re all on the same page that we want to hit the road way more and hard in 2026.”
