Band: Ledge Over Earth

Their formation story:
(Jacques, vocals): "Kevin (guitar) and I met making surfboards around 2018. American Nightmare had just released that new album, and he had it playing in his shop, so we bonded over music really fast. He mentioned he had played and toured a bunch in the past (The War Beneath The Waves, My Hero Is Me), and I offered to do vocals if he ever wanted to start jamming again.
"In that 2025 tornado of new hardcore, I finally hit up Kevin to jam. The cold-ass winter over here can be good inspiration for dark, heavy music, and we wrote 'Curse' together pretty quickly. Jason (bass) and I both teach science at the same school, and he offered to play bass and brought in Brian for drums. The four of us got together in April 2025 and ironed out 'Curse' and some other songs.
"Keith had played and toured in punk and hardcore bands a bunch in the past, too, but Kev mostly knew him through surfing. Kev brought in Keith for second guitar, and shit just clicked with all of us."
Their sound in their own words:
"This part of the Northeast has such a rich history of punk and hardcore. Our sound is a blend of all of our favorite stuff from around here. We're bringing in influences from Snapcase to Converge, early Hatebreed, The Trouble, Panic, Bane, and all the early-2000s Boston stuff.
"We all grew up in shitty little venues, so we write stuff that we'd want to hear in places like that."
Latest release info:
"We all work full-time and have families, so getting together to lock in and write this stuff was like a party every practice. We weren't looking to write a record and hit the road ASAP. We all just wanted to have fun and make something we were stoked on and proud of."
Future plans:
"We've got a handful of shows booked around our area and can't wait to get out and play this stuff for people. Kev has a small studio where we recorded the EP (shout out to Will at Dead Air Studios for mastering it), so once we finish a few new ones we've got cooking, we'll be looking to release those as well."
