Their formation story:
(Ralph, vocals): "Gibraltar is a new metallic hardcore act featuring members from different hardcore bands in the Philippines with various styles. We want to send our message across to hardcore heads throughout the globe. We've played in bands like Clean Slate, Value Lasts, Veils, Badmouth, and Shirley Steinberg."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our style is a balance of a heavy, and grief-stricken guitar tone, aggression, and pure strength. 'Harsh hardcore' would also be a start, which came from Riz of Unite Asia.
"Maybe the closest comparison would be Pulling Teeth, His Hero Is Gone, and Catharsis, from what we've heard we get compared to recently. It's the darker-sounding side of hardcore with contrasting messages."
Latest release info:
"We recorded our new self-titled promo early this year at Silence Break Records, and it was released by Still Ill Records from Manila. Two of the songs are written in Tagalog surrounding the weight of the current state of the Philippines, and how it has always been. The message is somehow poetic on the lyrical end. We wanted to make it a survival guide, to pass it forward and to carry on with others."
Future plans:
"We will record a full-length LP early next year and tour both locally and overseas if we have the chance, and if time permits. A release show is happening this October with a heavy lineup from the Pilipinas hardcore scene. For everyone reading from the PHC community and in support of it, thank you."

"Clean Slate, Shockpoint, Value Lasts, Killratio, Past Forward, Sandy Good, Abanglupa, and Limbs, to name a few. All of those bands have new releases that came out this year.
"Other notable mentions: The Beauty of Doubt, Bystorm, Sauna, Feud, Veils, Barred, and Prayer of Endurance inside Luzon and alot of upcoming releases coming from Visayas and Mindanao hardcore scenes."
