New Hardcore Band Spotlight: Final Form

Band: Final Form
From: England

Their formation story:
(Dan, vocals): "Me and Sam (guitar) have known each other since school and were in a band together before (Solemn Promise). When COVID hit, we reconnected during the first lockdown in the UK and starting talking about starting a new band. We actually wrote the first demo during this lockdown when you weren’t supposed to leave your house.

"We recruited George (drums) and Owen (bass) from Sam’s then current band (Climate of Fear) and also got Kieran (guitar) on board as a long time friend and local shredder. That’s how Final Form was born."

Their sound in their own words:
(Dan, vocals): "Metallic hardcore, mosh metal, crossover, hard to describe, we don’t really stick to one rigid sub-genre."

(Sam, guitar): "I’d say our overall influences are All Out War, Cro-Mags, Kickback, Hatebreed, Slayer, and Ringworm."

Latest release info:
(Dan, vocals): "Our latest release is a split with our friends Bloodfury which came out via DAZE and The Coming Strife back in May. The two tracks on this split were written and recorded around the same time as our track on The Coming Strife’s UK Hardcore compilation so the 3 tracks in total feel part of the same time period.

"They pushed us further in the direction we’re headed musically and that evolution is even more clear on the 6-track EP we’ve recorded, which is coming soon!"

Future plans:
(Dan, vocals)? "As just mentioned in the previous section, we’ve got our first proper EP locked and loaded which will be coming soon. 6 tracks of our best work to date. We’re heading out to play some shows in Portugal and Spain in November and a 10-day Euro run with our friends Malignant Methods, Bloodfury, and Dominate in February."

What other bands from the region should we check out?
(Dan, vocals)" "Best current UK hardcore: Last Wishes, Bloodfury, Nothin But Enemies, Splitknuckle, Malignant Methods, Cruelty, Cauldron, TS Warspite, Despize."

(Sam, guitar): "Best current Euro hardcore: 3nd7r, Cold Decay, Existence, Worst Doubt, Echo Chamber, Game Changer, Headbussa, Mindwar, Dead at Birth, Speedway."
