Band: Bottom Feeder
From: Calgary, Alberta
Their formation story:
(Matt Lannon, guitar): "I moved back to Calgary after spending a few years in Vancouver and wanted to put together a hardcore project that did more than just chug away on the low string. I was lucky enough to meet Brandon (drums) and Cam (bass) who felt the same. After being recommended Craig (vocals) from a friend our line up was complete. The whole thing came together really quickly."
Their sound in their own words:
"Every Time I Die meets Converge. We are all about stank face riffs, fast drums and feedback. Sometimes I feel every riff I’ve ever written is just ripping off Botch."
Latest release info:
"We just released our first single, a two minute ripper called Trauma Cycles. It’s prelude to our first EP coming out later this year. All tracks recorded by Scott at Colossus Audio."
Future plans:
"SHOWS! We will play anywhere, anytime. Love playing AA shows as it’s a big reason all of us got into hardcore in the first place."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Calgary is full of awesome bands at the moment! Bnads to check out: Glasscult, Congealed Flesh, Abrupt Decay."
