Formed in 2016, Wolves is the meeting point of years spent in the UK underground, with members having logged time in bands like Finish Him!, Ashes of Maybelle, Bludger, and Conjurer. Their 2017 debut EP, Gone Are the White Flags, captured the band in a raw, chaotic state, quickly earning them a reputation for sweat-soaked, unpredictable live shows alongside Sectioned, Urne, LLNN, and others.
What began as unfinished business after the end of Bludger soon turned into something bigger—a band built on trust, history, and the refusal to let ideas die on the vine.
After a pandemic pause, Wolves return with their debut album, Self-Titled (yes, that's what it's called). It features 10 tracks that swing from Every Time I Die swagger to expansive post-metal atmospherics, laced with Dillinger-style technicality and Poison the Well’s emotional depth.
The record is as heavy lyrically as it is musically, with the band’s four vocalists digging into themes of fascism, fatherhood, and sleep paralysis, all captured through the precise in-house production of drummer Robbie Tewelde. More deliberate and more focused than ever,

“The record intentionally has multiple voices to it. Each song had a different lyricist, so the perspectives shift as you go. We wanted it to feel like a journey, maybe a disorienting one at times, where the album never sits still long enough to feel the same.”
