Supercrush: Big Hooks + Tennis Meet on Seattle Band’s “On the Telephone” (VIDEO PREMIERE)

Over the past few years, Seattle’s Supercrush have released a string of singles that exemplify the sunny day feeling of the finest efforts by '90s noise-pop units like Teenage Fanclub and Eugenius and seminal '70s pop legends Big Star.

On October 9th, they will be releasing their debut full-length, SODO Pop, on the Don Giovanni label and No Echo is pleased as punch to give you all a sneak peak via the video for the track “On the Telephone."

We feel the combination of burly riffs and licks with a sugary delivery to be nothing short of infectious. We dare you to check out the video below and tell us different.

By the way, the music video was directed by Ian Shelton (Regional Justice Center, Militarie Gun), so that's definitely a bonus:

Supercrush was a project formed with the intention of exploring the song-craft of sugary power-pop preeminence.

Supercrush bass player Phil Jones and long time collaborator Jackson Long travelled cross country to Massachusetts to have the record mixed by Justin Pizzoferrato (Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Pixies), before returning home and having it mastered by Ed Brooks (REM, The Posies, Juliana Hatfield).

SODO Pop will be out October 9th via Don Giovanni Records. Pre-order/pre-save the album at this link.
