"I think all of us missed playing a heavier version of hardcore, but at the end of the day we're all still punks so we're trying to strike that balance," said Outnumbered guitarist Matt Kimball when they were featured in a New Hardcore Band Spotlight last year.
The Vermont-based outfit has been gigging steadily since releasing their demo, recently wrapping up a run of dates with Maine's Peacebreaker. With shows coming up with Colin of Arabia, Quick to Judge, and Risk, Outnumbered plan on going out on out-of-state treks in 2026.
For now, the band is gearing up for the release of a 7-song EP through SUV Records. Check out a track from the EP called "Sellout," which was recorded by drummer Kevin Gustafson and mastered by Will Hirst (Restraining Order):
Outnumbered vocalist Mikey X shared the following thoughts on the song:
"I’m just sick of seeing people come into the hardcore scene using their band as a front to network and become more 'mainstream.' You want to make music for the general population? Cool, do it somewhere else. If you use this music for your own personal gain or run your band like a business, you can get bent."
The Outnumbered EP will be out soon on cassette via SVU Records.
