With tasty releases from The Chain, Iron Mind, and Feel the Pain, Last Ride Records has been waving the Australian Hardcore flag proudly in 2025. The Newcastle-based label is back at it with Life, the long-awaited sophomore LP from No Apologies.
The Sydney hardcore outfit's 2007 debut album, Survival, helped influence a generation of Aussie hardcore heads. No Apologies was co-founded by vocalist Pete Abordi and guitarist Peter Bursky, two musicians who began collaborating in the late '90s. The group is rounded out by drummer Andres Hyde, bassist Patrick Taylor, and guitarist Chris Wilson on guitar.
According to their label, the songs on Life "recounts one man’s confrontation with mortality and another’s reconciliation with loss." Adding even more intesity to the collection, No Apologies brought in Jem Siow (Speed) and Todd Jones (Nails, Carry On, Terror) to add guest vocals to two tracks on the album.

"'Illness' is about the grief I felt after my father’s passing. It was unlike anything I’d ever felt before, more than just an emotion, it was something I could actually feel, as in physically. Whenever I was awake it was with me and the only time I could get away from it was when I went to sleep at the end of each day. This song delves into those emotions and for anyone experiencing a loss of their own I think they would be able to relate"
