Earlier this month, No Echo posted an extensive feature site contributor Ryan O'Connor submitted on Joe Krewko, former vocalist of Bury Your Dead, bassist for As the Sun Sets, and. vocalst of She Rides. The piece also covered the singer's current endeavor, a ripping hardcore band called Edict.

In addition to Krewko, Edict also features current and ex members of such bands as Dropdead, Euclid, and Sweet Jesus within its ranks. Their sound is ferocious, bursting with elements of everything from metallic hardcore, grindcore, and European-flavored death metal.

The Rhode Island-based outfit dropped their self-titled debut EP last year, and are gearing up to unleash another one later this year via their new partnership with Unbeaten Records (Purgatory, D Bloc).

Today, No Echo is partnering with Edict to premiere the music video for "Traitor," a track from the forthcoming EP:

This is what Joe and company had to say about the lyrics to the song:

"It’s just our take on the classic ACAB, anti-state sanctioned violence, anti-fascist punk song."

Edict will be embarking on an East Coast run of dates with Bury Your Dead starting this Sunday (June 4th) at the Dusk in Providence, Rhode Island:

The sophomore Edict EP will be out later this year through Unbeaten Records.
