Their formation story:
(Jack Harris, guitar): "XrecoilX formed around February/March of 2025. It started as something Hector (vocals) and I wanted to do that hadn’t really existed in the Coachella Valley for a long time—a straight edge band. We reached out to friends we knew who felt the same way, and got things going in the practice room."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our sound is heavily inspired by early 2000s bands like Until the End, Throwdown, Black My Heart, Hatebreed, and Bishop. There’s definitely more we could name, but that’s a solid snapshot. At the same time, we’re always trying to put our own spin on that style."
Latest release info:
"Our newest release—our first—contains a demo of the first four songs I wrote when coming up with the idea for the band. It’s an entry point into the sound we’re building toward. Lyrically, it touches on straight edge pride, represents the Coachella Valley, and deals with loss. It’s something we’re really proud of. Since then, we’ve written new material that’s definitely progressed in both sound and style."
Future plans:
"This summer, we’re planning our first weekend run across California with our friends in Wound Up! We’re also working to finish our LP and get it out as soon as possible. On top of that, we’re looking at another tour in October that will take us further out."
