Their formation story:
(Rob, guitar) "TJ and I met In the mid-2000s, going to shows at Chain Reaction. We reconnected last year, and a few months back, I told him I had some songs demoed out and thought it would be cool to record something for fun.
"Originally, I wanted to do something more Youth Crew, but TJ started mentioning a bunch of NYHC bands he wanted the project to sound like. I already had some songs sitting around that matched that vibe perfectly, so we rolled with it and got to work."
Their sound in their own words:
(TJ, vocals / Rob, guitar): "We are just a hardcore band. Our influences range from classic ’90s NYHC like Breakdown and Crown of Thornz through Hatebreed and Unbroken, with some dumbed-down Morbid Angel riffs sprinkled in alongside Cold World and Biohazard-style vocals."
Latest release info:
(Rob): "Our demo was recorded and mixed by me in my garage. I love a good-quality recording, but I’m also a massive sucker for demos that sound like they were recorded live in a room with one mic. Stuff like the Altercation and Breakdown demos are sonically unbeatable to me, which is why we wanted to do this ourselves.
"Three of the songs had existed in some form for a while, just waiting for the right project, while one track was written once the band started getting off the ground. TJ also brought some really personal lyrics that added a cool layer of depth to everything."
Future plans:
(Rob and TJ): "Ideally, we’ll play a grip of shows this summer and see where things go from there. Hopefully, we’ll also have some new songs dropping soon."
