Their formation story:
(JP Lichtenberg, vocals): "Back in January 2024, I started up Tunnel Jumper in my attic to have a project/outlet to put out the heavy music I wanted to hear. From there, I found some like-minded guys to bring it to life. Now with the help of Justin Redington on bass/vocals, Jake Palmer on guitar, and Adam Frost on the drums.
"Tunnel Jumper is way more than the sum of its parts, and they've each taken some basic elements I had and really brought their own voice into everything."
Their sound in their own words:
"We blend elements from the different sub-genres of the hardcore that we all like -- there's a dissonant/metallic vibe alongside some beatdown, slam, two-step, etc. — anything that gets our adrenaline pumping."
Latest release info:
"We just dropped a couple songs called 'Hydra' and 'Snake Around a Scepter.' 'Hydra' is about the rampant greed of our capitalist America which is pushing more and more our population into poverty every day. We can have free same-day delivery of bullshit we don't need, yet struggle to now afford groceries and basic necessities.
"'Snake Around a Scepter' is about my wife's health insurance provider denying her claim to cover the treatment needed for her autoimmune disease, after pre-approving. U.S.-based health insurance companies are actively denying coverage every day strictly to avoid paying on covered conditions in order to increase profits."
Future plans:
"We just wrapped up pre-production for our full-length, and are about to hit the studio to start tracking -- the LP will be dropping in 2026."
