Band: True Intent
From: Brighton And Hove, UK
Their formation story:
(Sam, guitar): "We were all involved in various bands back in the day, but had been out of the game for a while. The Brighton scene has been building for the past few years — loads of new exciting bands popping up out of every orifice. It has inspired us to start making music again.
"On that note, big shoutout to the guys who worked hard to make the BN1 scene what it is today. Burning Water, BN1 Collective (RIP), Stray 4 Life, Tidalwave Recordings, PitCrew, and everyone else doing bits."
Their sound in their own words:
"Straight up hardcore - We all vary with the sounds we like, so we hope there’s a dash of everything in there. We would say we are FFO The Rival Mob, The Mongoloids, Colin of Arabia, Ceremony, Survival, and UK Garage."
Latest release info:
"We put out our first EP/demo, What’s The Deal?, in August. Recorded by the legends at Tidalwave/Small Pond in Brighton. Lyrical themes include struggling with grief, mental health and society’s perception of what it means to be a man. Instrumentally though, it’s a lot more fun and uplifting."
Future plans:
"We are buzzing to record our new stuff next year, we think it’s sick! Other than that, we just want to get more shows booked."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Infinite Wisdom, Bodybag, prom, Outlive BN1, WARHEAD 97, AKU, How Long You Been Driving, Wiseguy, Imposter, No Relief, HEAT BN1, Mortal Spirit, Lost Cause, Landmine, everyone else in the BN1 and UKHC as a whole especially any band Paul Morgan is in!"
