Band: Take It In Blood

Their formation story:
"We formed the band just before all that covid shit, around the end of 2019, beginning of 2020. We are a band from Paris, all our current members and past members live in the Paris suburbs."
Their sound in their own words:
"I dont know how to describe it. Our main idea was to play something modern but with a huge '90s vibe. We all listen to different bands and styles of music in the band, it can be death metal, black metal, hip-hop or Oi! music, but our main influences are bands like Next Step Up, Neglect, Dmize, Cold as Life, early Merauder, Confusion, Bulldoze, Killing Time, Never Ending Game, and Sheer Terror.
"We didnt want to sound too clean or too mainstream, for us hardcore needs to be rough and dirty. When you listen to Take It In Blood, we want you to wear your extra large hoodie, your baggy pants, and your beanie or your cap like in a Biohazard video clip [laughs].
"We are hardcore guys from the Paris skinhead scene who play negative hardcore. When I say "negative," it's all in our lyrics. Personaly speaking I'm into bands like Neglect, Blood for Blood, and early No Zodiac. I wanted to throw up all my hatred and anger into this band. I'm not into posi stuff."
Latest release info:
"We are really proud of our demo, even if now we know the things we have to improve for our upcoming projects, but its ok, thats why we call it a demo. Sometimes it was hard to practice because all our writing process happened during the COVID curfews. We were searching for our sound and we were all busy with our own lives or our others bands so it could be a bit long between our sessions but we are happy with what we recorded.
"You know, we didnt invent our style, it's all influenced by the bands i mentionned just before. But in Paris and in France, I think, many people showed us support, maybe because there were no local bands like ours around. Since our release, we had some changes in our lineup. Clement, who plays guitar on our tape, is now replaced by Jaro. We played three shows with him, alongside Cold Hard Truth, Arkangel, Nasty, Bun Dem Out, Kharma, and our brothers of Worst Doubt, who are the best current hardcore band from Paris."
Future plans:
"We are working on a new EP, still 100% influenced by the '90s sounds. We have some shows planned for 2023, and we hope to play as much as possible in Europe and maybe in the US, who knows?"

"Ok, so if you are interested in the Paris hardcore scene, you need to listen to Worst Doubt, Sorcerer, Heabussa, Cavalerie (Jaro's other band ), Iron Storm, Jaw Crack, Deviant, Calcine, and Glassbone. All these bands sound different and thats why our scene is really interesting. If you guys are into Oi! music, listen to Squelette (I'm the drummer), Tchernobyl (my man Fredo who plays bass in Take Ut In blood is their drummer), Rixe, and Bromure. We are all from the same crew in Paris, BSC.
