Band: Smuther
From: Vancouver, British Columbia
Their formation story:
"We technically formed in September 2020 when Joey, Noahm and Taylor were looking to start a new project after their previous band. But due to the pandemic we wouldn't have our first practice until summer 2021. And now here we are."
Their sound in heir own words:
"Punk for hardcore, hardcore for punk. Hardcore for the Rez and anybody for who can hang."
Latest release info:
"Our EP, Wretched of the Earth, is the culmination of a lot of major stylistic changes we've undergone as a band and we're really glad to have it out. It's a much more accurate and clear depiction of our current sound as well as us coming into our own as a group."
Future plans:
"We are hoping to record again soon, but we wont disclose any more info on that. Finally hitting Alberta at the end of April. We've also set out to get better at being a t-shirt band. Hopefully a summer tour, maybe a quick rip for a week in August. Other than that, just giggin."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Rush. Rush for sure.
"Huge shout outs to Dispösal, Cleaver, Spurr, G-HAUL, Tapioca, Crucible of Sorrow, Hollow Point, Blimp, and Noosesweat."
