Their formation story:
(Sammie, vocals): "The band kind of formed gradually. I'd been writing EPs and demos that never saw the light of day since 2022, and eventually, sometime in 2023, I started sending them to Tom (guitar) to get his opinion. He made a random comment one day, sometime in 2023, about wanting to name a band Powermove, and the name kind of stuck.
"In 2024, Matt (bass) and Alex (guitar) from our other band Vertigo Flowers joined (George from Blood Money also played with us for a while). Through the end of that same year and into mid-2025, after maybe three scrapped demos, the current demo was written."

"It's like if you taped a few CDs of Eurocore and '90s NYHC together with a Boss CH-1 pedal slapped on top."
Latest release info:
"As mentioned before, there must be about three scrapped full demos from 2022-2024 that we never used. A lot of what you hear on the demo came from me binge-listening to stuff that came out in Europe and New York a decade before I was born, and then trying to write music that's reminiscent of those records, but with a somewhat unique spin on it to avoid ending up as an outright copy-and-paste clone of the bands we like, or sounding too similar to other bands that draw from the same inspirations.
"The writing process was usually me recording riffs and sending them to the rest of the lads for feedback and tweaking, then doing that over and over until we had a full track. We like writing weird stuff. We've had a lot of fun with the stomp riff in 'Burning Man' and the final mosh part in 'D.Y.S.'
"As for the meaning of the tracks, 'Mortal Form' was written in reference to the UnitedHealthcare CEO being shot. It's inspired by that event. It's about political figures being self-serving scumbags and the fact that none of these elites are immune to a bullet through the skull. 'Burning Man' is essentially a rant about idiotic people with no media literacy who would never understand why people take extreme, desperate measures to get their point across. The title is a reference to self-immolation.
"'D.Y.S.' was written about tourists in the hardcore scene—people who spend all their time discussing hardcore on social media and pretending to care because they think it'll get them clout. If you're not here for the love of the game, then you're here for the wrong reason. Start a band, design some stuff, put on shows—essentially, stop spending your time on Twitter. Hardcore exists in real life, not on the internet."
Future plans:
"We don't have much planned specifically. We're just kind of going with the flow for now, but we're keen to play a bunch more shows and we've been writing new material. We've discussed doing a split EP with some of our friends, but nothing is set in stone yet."

"Alongside that, as Louis from Telltale said in their interview, keep an eye on anything released by Counter Culture Records. I'm going to add that you should also keep your eyes peeled for anything put out by Bad Bunch Records and Unholy Dominion Records."
