Band: Pillaged
From: Denver, Colorado
Their formation story:
(David, guitar): "We all got together at an all you can eat Asian buffet about a year ago in Wheatridge, Colorado and decided the world needed more Mental and Rival Mob worship. Fast forward, dropped a demo November 14th. The band is a mix of old friends and new, and, Mark and I are in Time X Heist and Eyes of Salt (respectively), both based in Denver."
Their sound in their own words:
"We’re pretty unapologetic about playing back-to-basics hardcore. If a riff doesn’t make us want to kick someone in the jaw, it goes in the trash. Focus is on 1999 to 2009 Lockin’ Out / Painkiller / Youngblood era. If aliens asked what hardcore on earth sounds like, we’d hand them something from those catalogs (also Floorpunch)."
Latest release info:
"Our three-song demo, No Mercy Left, is out now on Indecision Records. We wrote about 6 and picked our top 3. We did all the tracking ourselves in our basement with no click (that was a pretty interesting day). We just play what we think is fun to play, has good ass vibes, and always for the moshers."
Future plans:
"Our first show is in December in Denver with a bunch of our friends. We will start working on a 7-inch next year, maybe see if someone will put us on out of state. Just really looking to have fun with Pillaged and see where it goes."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Hostile Takeover, Primal Fury, War Machine, A Thousand Angels and Seven, Postdrome, Radar Love."
No Mercy Left is available on cassette via Indecision Records.
