Their formation story:
(Jon M., bass): "Hughie (vocals), JG (drums), and Neto (guitar) are longtime friends and started demoing songs back in 2019. COVID hit and the project was put on hold. Fast forward to 2023, where they decided to start it back up again, along with Danny (guitar) and I.
Their sound in their own words:
(JG, drums): "Our influences include Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Slayer, Candiria, and The Chariot."
Latest release info:
(Jon M.): "With heavy influence from a wide range of bands across the hardcore genre, the Kill Us Ruin Us EP is a mix of crushing riffs, spastic/heavy drums, and guttural vocals that give the listener a small taste of the Kuru sound. The 5-track EP packs a punch and can be described as a fast and angry release of emotion that’ll leave you with fists clinched, hoping that “someone would.”
Future plans:
(JG): "Having just put out this EP, we’re looking to book shows together to play some small tours outside of the Tri-state area and along the east coast. We’ve already begun demoing new tracks in hopes of putting out a proper full-length for 2024."
