Band: Irruption
From: France & Switzerland
Their formation story:
(Alban, drums): "Stef from Parisian hardcore band Calcine met Flo and Lolo both playing guitar in Affliction AD (based in Geneva, Switzerland) at a show. They all thought it would be cool to start a band even if they weren't in the same cities. Flo and Lolo started demoing tracks and the project was joined by Lois from Hard Mind on the bass and myself (I also play drums for another band called Eurydice)."
Their sound in their own words:
"Irruption is playing beatdown hardcore with pissed off riffs and unforgiving vocals. We really like the US beatdown scene with bands such as Taste the Steel, Unit 731, and Enemy Mind, but also we all dig UKHC stuff such as Cold Hard Truth or Bun Dem Out."
Latest release info:
"We just put out our EP through Cruzade Records. The process for this record went quite well despite the distance between the 5 of us. We all recorded at Lolo's studio in Geneva and the mix was made by our friend Timothee Froger."
Future plans:
"We're playing the Ieper pre-fest in July, that's a huge opportunity for a new band to be present at such an event ! We have a few shows in preparation for September also."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Check all the euro hardcore bands you can ! There's a lot going on in various places and that's great! Make sure to check out Citrus, Corruption Pact, Horrid Remorse, Days of Revelation, Broken Ankles, Premonition, and Soul Hater."
