Their formation story:
(Ryan Hurley, guitar): "Our formation was very abrupt; my old band folded about a day or two before a 5-day run of shows in the northeast with Liberate. Riley hit me up asking what had happened, and I told him I didn’t want to talk about it. I asked if he knew any drummers, and he said yes, and I said great practice is on Monday, and you’re singing. And that was that."
Their sound in their own words:
"I would describe our sound as traditionally NYHC by all means, but we’re students of hardcore as a whole. We tend to look at bands who are very much not the headliners; we root for the underdogs, and we don’t try to sound like anyone in particular. We listen to everything, it’s hard to pinpoint our influences, but: Billy Club Sandwich, Ringworm, Iron Age, All Out War, and Sheer Terror."
Latest release info:
"New York Hate is our demo, but we didn’t want to call it our demo; we wanted to name it. We didn’t know where to go as a band, exactly; we just knew we wanted to make something fucking mean. Mean musically, mean in spirit, mean in appearance, and just be entirely standoffish like a record. It’s important to have a statement that says something other than 'demo year x.'"
Future plans:
"As far as the future goes, we have new music ready to record already, but aside from that, we’ve been trying to just play as much as we can wherever we can get to in a car. We played a couple of shows in the Midwest this past fall with no music out, so we’d like to just play new places now that our demo's out. We really have a lot of fun doing this, so we’re just gonna keep going.

"Other bands from New York to check out? Grael, Frothing Mad, Square One, Boots on the Sand, Smashing Time, Evil Ways and Lion’s Den just did a split, 100 Hour War, Bazooka, Ferment, Runnin’ Hot, and Bring the Pain (absolutely check that band out) and Liberate, I know I mentioned them up top but they get a second shout out because they’re that good."
