Their formation story:
"Pre COVID lockdown we were all playing in a melodic hardcore band together. Given our inability to play shows at that point, the band essentially fizzled out. Afterwards, Tony, one of our two guitarists, sat down and wrote what is now Trial by Fire and a little over a year later we were able to record and release the EP."
Their sound in their own words:
"The band is mostly influenced by fast paced, groovy hardcore that you can dance to. Some of the bands that played a role in that sound include Backtrack, Trapped Under Ice, and some older bands like Allegiance and Kickback."
Latest release info:
"Trial by Fire was a collection of songs written over the last year or so that were put together with a loose idea of what we wanted to sound like. We really just wrote what we thought sounded cool at the time.
"We have a little more of a set direction with some of the newer stuff we are currently writing and how we want it to sound going forward."
Future plans:
"Currently, we are in the process of writing our second EP that we hope to release later this year. In the meantime, we plan on continuing to play shows and hopefully some smaller tours regionally."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Grudge, Slug, S.M.I.L.E, and Rejoice to name a few, but there are tons of great bands coming out of the Cleveland and Columbus areas right now."
