Band: Bound2Violence
From: Inland Empire, California
Their formation story:
(Bentley, vocals): "Birdo (lead guitar) and I are on a hockey team together. We listen to a lot of hardcore in the room. I broke my foot and was bedridden for 3 months, so I started writing and asked Birdo for ideas. When I was able to move around a little more, we started practicing with 2 former teammates and our rhythm guitarist (Mike).
"It started to click, and we picked up steam and went from there. We later recruited River and Doug from the band Sleep Apnea, and we have all become as tight as brothers."
Their sound in their own words:
"We basically take Hatebreed, Slipknot, Terror, Trapped Under Ice, and George Jones and mix them together."
Latest release info:
"Our debut release, Bound2Violence, features our first 4 songs we wrote together, as well as a cover of Hatebreed’s 'Bound to Violence.' We speak out against police brutality, tyrannical governments, the military industrial complex, and snakes in the scene."
Future plans:
"Right now, we are focused on getting to markets we have not been to yet. San Diego, Oxnard, Las Vegas, the Bay, Bakersfield, and we are dying to get out to the lower Central Valley of California! But we want to plan anywhere and everywhere in between! I get fans in places like Arkansas and Florida asking for us, and that would be a dream come true!"
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"This band would not exist without Bad Mouth, Smoked909, Big Ass Truck, Exutoire, Knuckle Sandwich, Amor De Dios, Mad World, Bergota, Darasuum, Light Via Dark, Hatespeech, Killspree, Senior Year, Face Facts, Built to Break, Baori, Barrio Slam, or Execute.
"I implore everyone reading to take the time to check out all these bands! We are very spoiled out here, with the incredible bands we have the pleasure of being around and being friends with."
