New Hardcore Band Spotlight: Bone Splitter

Band: Bone Splitter
From: Los Angeles, California

Their formation story:
(Nick Viterelli, drums): "Bone Splitter technically started when Danny and I met in school at Cal State Long Beach in 2017. It was funny because in our major there was only like 2-3 other guys; so the fact that one of the only other guys in the program was into Infest was insane to me.

"We started jamming around then, but those practices mostly consisted of us just playing Super Smash Bros in my garage. We eventually started writing the songs that became the demo about a year ago, and at the same time recruited all of our rocker friends."

Their sound in their own words:
"Primitive Hardcore. Our influences include prehistoric times, cave paintings, harnessing fire, and rocks in general. For fans of Mammoth Grinder, Black Breath, Dead in the Dirt, Hatred Surge, etc."

Latest release info:
"Our demo just came out, and tapes are being put out via Human Future Records from San Diego California. The songs were recorded live with Bryan Phillips at Sunsick Studio, mixed by Andrew Solis, and mastered by Nick Townsend."

Future plans:
"We're just about finished writing our full-length LP, and hope to record that in the near future. Come catch us at the record release show."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"All Beat Up, Axe Collector, Leechbath, Godcollider, Vile Life."
