Los Angeles metallic hardcore band Bloodshed have officially signed with DAZE and unveiled their new single, "Abhorrence." The band landed on both No Echo's Best Hardcore Demos of 2025 and 12 Newer Hardcore Bands to Check Out in 2026 lists.

Drawing influence from '90s metallic hardcore staples like Integrity, Ringworm, and In Cold Blood, Bloodshed continue to double down on a no-frills approach built around punishing riffs and dark, menacing vocals. "Abhorrence" wastes no time setting the tone, opening with the warning, "What you're about to hear is very disturbing indeed," before launching into controlled chaos.

The track also features a guest appearance from Dan of Laid 2 Rest.

Explaining the song's message, the band says:

"'Abhorrence' serves as an affront to much of what exists in the hardcore scene today. Its facade of narratives, promoting regurgitated virtues for the sake of 'fitting in,' and embarrassing displays of weakness posed as morality and excused as injustice. This lack of substance, also known as talent, has plagued hardcore for years and has now positioned itself at the helm of the scene it wishes to police and ultimately destroy.

This song serves as the antithesis of these atrocities. May it serve as the spearhead of a rebirth."

"Abhorrence" was recorded and mixed by Andrew Solis and mastered by Nick Townsend.

Bloodshed will make their Hellfest return this weekend before supporting Nails in Oxnard, California, on July 11. Later this year, they'll also join 100 Demons and Death Before Dishonor for a trio of West Coast dates.
